"Sparky" is also the
trademarked name given to
the National Fire
Protection Association's
Dalmation mascot.
Because of this, the
Beanie Baby Sparky was
retired prematurely and
replaced with a similar
Dalmatian, Dotty. During
the transition from Sparky
to Dotty, some shipments
were showing up with
Sparky Beanie babies and
hang tags, but Dotty tush
tags.

Sparky rides proud on the firetruck
Ringing the bell and pushing his luck
He gets underfoot when trying to help
He often gets stepped on and lets out a yelp!

Sparky the Dalmatian was introduced in 1996.
Sparky the Dalmatian retired May 11, 1997.

His birthday is February 27, 1996.
